PPF
What is PPF and why should it be used?
Owing to restrictive environmental standards, car paints used nowadays are more and more fragile, which results in the vehicles being more exposed to scratches, stone chips, cracks, UV radiation, acid factors, road salt, tree coatings, bird droppings, etc.
Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear film, invisible to the naked eye, which is made out of TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) and is the most advanced solution aimed at protecting the paint and other elements of the vehicle.
Besides having protective properties, CarbonQ films self heal, ensuring that the vehicles have a remarkable appearance, depth of colour, and a unique gloss and shine.
What are ceramic coatings and whyshould it be used?
Due to the care for the natural environment, the new regulations forced car manufacturers to use water-based car paints, which are very soft and not resistant to all external factors.
Ceramic coatings became one of the first effective solutions to that problem. Thanks to the usage of specific chemical substances, they are much more resistant, not only to micro-scratches created during regular use, but also discolorations, matting or pitting caused by the application of aggressive car chemicals, UV radiation or accidental exposure to bird droppings, road residue or pollens.
Besides having protective properties, CarbonQ ceramic coatings give a unique shine and gloss and provide a hydrophobic effect, thanks to which the car can be kept clean easily.

ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Ceramic coatings and paint protection films are different solutions and it’s very hard to compare them.
PPF is, for sure, the most advanced protection for now. It’s the real protection against scratches, paint chips, UV, different acid factors, bird droppings, tree coatings or road salt.
The other advantage is the look of paint after application – PPF makes it extremely glossy and deep, additionally helps to keep vehicles clean and shiny.
Unfortunately because of the difficult installation it’s rather expensive.
Ceramic coating, in turn, is a liquid applied on the paint, plastics and other elements.
It’s layers form a colorless, protective shell which improves the appearance of paint making it shiny, glossy and hydrophobic.
Coating application is much cheaper than PPF but it won’t protect against serious mechanical damages however it’s works great with factors like UV radiation, different acid, bird droppings, tree coatings or road salt.
The real service life depends on many factors like average annual mileage or the way of regular car care.
Our PPFs warranty is up to 10 years for yellowing, discoloration and cracking.
CarbonQ 10H is one of the best and hardest coatings that should last even up to 5 years.
CarbonQ 9H was designed for a little shorter protection, up to 3 years.
Generally speaking, we don’t recommend applying any kind of protective products on your own.
Even though CarbonQ 9H can be bought and installed with amateurs, we highly recommend to contact and visit our Certified Installers – it still requires skills and appropriate installation.
CarbonQ 10H is a product designed only for professionals.
PPF installation is much more complicated and demanding. It requires skills, knowledge and a lot of experience so it’s impossible to do the service properly without the solid background.
Both new and used cars can be protected. If the car is used appropriate preparation will be a must.
All the elements after paint and body repairs can be protected with ceramic coatings. It’s also possible to apply the PPF, however, in such case the installation in not under warranty and some damages may be caused at the time of removal.
Properly applied coating is 100% transparent and invisible.
Speaking about PPF, the most important factor is the way of application (if the patterns are used or not).
Generally, if the installation was done properly and the whole element is covered it shouldn’t be plain to see.
With both ceramic coatings and paint protection films it’s possible to cover all kinds of painted surfaces, piano blacks, carbons and headlights.
Correctly and professionally applied PPF has no right to peel off.
If such problem shows up, it’s usually a result of inappropriate use and care (eg. washing with too high pressure and putting water right to the edge) or wrong application.
There are a couple of simple tricks you could use to let your vehicle stay well protected and good looking.
For ceramic coatings the most important factor is regular car care.
We recommend visiting our Certified Installers however it’s crucial to avoid automatic car washes and use only professional accessories and chemicals with harmless pH.
Once a year you are obligated to have an inspection with our Certified Installer where your coating will be deeply cleaned and supplemented, if needed.
If your vehicle is protected with paint protection film you should also avoid any kind of automatic car washes.
While washing, please remember to keep the pressure not too high and don’t put the gun right to the film edges.
To protect the PPF you can also apply some synthetic waxes or some dedicated ceramic coatings, like CarbonQ 9H.
All of our PPF products are fully removable. Trouble-free process condition is properly applied film on the original paint.
It’s also possible to remove the ceramic coating – as both of them are complicated and time consuming services we recommend to use experienced, qualified specialists.
